What is DAP?
The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a flexible small grants program managed through the network of Australian diplomatic missions. The Australian Embassy in Spain is responsible for managing this program in Equatorial Guinea.
Objectives
The objective of DAP in Equatorial Guinea is to help the country achieve its development objectives and build a more just and inclusive society, while meeting Australia's international goals. The program aims to support projects with a strong development focus that complement Australia's broader aid program, contributing to sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction.
Management
The DAP budget for Equatorial Guinea for this financial year is AUD 20,000 (equivalent to approximately EUR 11,000). Fundable activities can last a maximum of two years. The Australian Embassy may decide to allocate these funds to one large project or to several smaller ones. The financial year in Australia starts on 1 July and runs until 30 June of the following year.
