The Australian Embassy in Madrid is again able to provide passport and notarial services. Public access is limited and by appointment only to ensure social distancing. To book an appointment please contact us on +34 91 353 6600.
Specific requirements are in place for all visitors to the Australian Embassy in Madrid:

Arrive at the appointment time. You cannot enter if you arrive more than 10 minutes before your appointment.

Do not bring your children or other family members (except for children over 16 to apply for their passport).

All visitors must wear a mask at all times at the Embassy.

All visitors must use hand sanitiser available on site upon arrival at the Embassy.

If you are feeling unwell and exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms please cancel and rebook your appointment.
Notarial Services
The Embassy provides notarial services and document legalisation overseas.
Please note:
Notarial acts (including the issuing of Certificates of No Impediment to Marriage and Certificates of Residence) are only available at the Australian Embassy in Madrid.
The Honorary Consulate in Barcelona is unable to provide these services.
